Beers brewed in America

Alaskan Amber

This is one of those random ones that I grabbed from the single section at Central Market, and it was pretty good. I have a taste of their IPA as well, and it was one of the few IPAs that I can actually enjoy. This was a good beer, and I like the taste of Amber beers it was an almost guarantee that I would like it.

Saint Arnold Weedwacker

I enjoyed this beer a whole lot. Of course, I enjoy all beers that I have had from this brewer.   An interesting fact is the owner of the brewery went to Rice University.

Ugly Pug Black Lager

I had this beer in Corpus Christi at the Water Street Oyster Bar. The beer was pretty good. I have never had a Rahr & Sons brew before, even though they are a local brewer. It went well with the seafood that we were having. To be honest, the food was so good that I didn’t really care about the beer that much. I just wanted something cold to wash it down.

Mississippi Mud – Black & Tan

This beer was not that great. It tasted like a mixture of two different beers mixed together in some weird concoction that didn’t work. I will probably never have this beer again.

Sawtooth Ale

This beer was very similar to the taste of an IPA, but I know that it isn’t. It is considered an extra special bitter beer by the people who really know what they are talking about. They all seem to give it great reviews, but I am not a huge fan of it. I am guessing that forcing IPAs down my throat will cause me to enjoy the flavor that they bring. I am just not that willing to do that.
