Man, things have changed…

The past 3 years of my life have been the most tiring and demanding period that I have been through. This is all due to my wife and I having a little boy. He was an unexpected little bundle of joy that we were not prepared for in anyway. To be honest, we had no idea what we were going to do with a child. Honestly, who ever knows what they are going to do? There is nothing that prepares you for the changes that you are going to make.

The only thing is that all of this has changed. Now, he is the most fun person that I know. I think that it is because the world is still a wonder to him. He sees everything as a miracle, and it starts to rub off on people when they around. I think that his cuteness has something to do with it, but this little boy is infectious. Of course, there are times he can be a pain in the neck, but the next minute he makes you forget what you were mad for to begin with.

He likes to race in any event in the entire world. It can be going to get water, eating peas, or going to the bathroom. He wants to win, and he even takes cheap shots to make sure that he wins. He will try to take your spoon from you when eating peas, and he will definitely cut you off if you are in a foot race. He likes adventure, and he is constantly learning. Just the other day he started saying, “I like peas really much!” The emphasis here is on the really much. He is using adverbs, and he can express himself better everyday.

I know this is a little biased, but I think that he is going to be a pretty cool kid. He is funny, smart, and a pretty good dancer (must get that from me). When you see him, you should ask him to do the chicken wing! It is a dance that he has created, and it looks like he is trying to fly. It is extremely hard to imitate, but it is something that you always do when he is around.

I guess that point to this whole post is that I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. It has been hard and there were times that I was not sure how I would make it another day, but I have made it through it. It is awesome! I would not trade it for anything in the world, but I am not sure that I would ever do it again either. Sometimes you realize that you are not the person you thought were, and I think that parenthood is one of those times!

P.S. This post has been in draft status for about two months. There was a time when things got rough again, but we found out that our little boy had pneumonia. This made him a little harder to deal with, but we are past that again. I guess we will always have ups and downs, but it is still an amazing ride.

Tackle Towels

These paper towels are much better than all the other paper towels out there. They are Tackle Towels. You should get some to clean up the Cowboy’s season so far.
